For more than 30 years, The Music Studio has been the music school of choice for piano in the Capital Region for those wanting to learn music in ways that engage, transform, educate, and entertain. The Music Studio’s innovative, supportive faculty teaches a custom curriculum that provides opportunities that exist nowhere else. Our classrooms and our instruments, from our many grand pianos to the smallest Orff glockenspiel, are as singular as our curriculum and our teachers. Our student base is varied, including public, private, and home-school students, students who have yet to start pre-school, and others who finished school decades ago. We draw students from Hudson to Saratoga, and from Canajoharie to Petersburg, as well as from Albany, Schenectady, Clifton Park, and almost everywhere in between.
Our program begins with group lessons that introduce young children to the joy of music through focused, playful musical activities that stimulate and build confidence. As our students develop more advanced musical skills and broaden their musical foundation, they graduate to private piano lessons, group theory/repertoire classes and additional activities. We also offer adult students a chance to connect to music – those who’ve never had a piano lesson and those who took for years – through Recreational Piano.
